It is with great pleasure and honor that we announce the conclusion of the 2024 FAI E-Drone Racing World Cup, marked by our last event in Riyadh, the vibrant capital of Saudi Arabia.
This event, held from November 17th to 19th, brought together 57 qualified pilots from across the globe to compete in the fifth and final race of the year. They competed remotely from home on a track specially designed for the occasion, flying around Al-Ula's famous Elephant Rock (Jabal Al-Fil), a breathtaking natural wonder nestled in the heart of Saudi Arabia's cultural landscape. With 650 meters of zigzags and tight bends that made full use of the 52-meter high rock and unique terrain of the environment, Jabal Al-Fil proved to be one of the most challenging races of the season.
Congratulations to the winner
Let’s not forget Yiran SHENG, also known as DuoNaFPV, the 12-year-old female competitor from China (CHN) who claimed first place on the podium. As one of the youngest pilots of the entire season, she showcased incredible skill, precision, and determination throughout the race.
It is the first time that an FAI e-drone event was led by a female competitor, and we can't wait to see a stronger presence of female pilots.
Our team at Riyadh
For this special occasion, we were pleased to send a dedicated team to Riyadh: Alexander as the race manager, Hugo as the stream director, and Elouan, the owner and race administrator, to oversee the organization and production of the event on-site.

From transporting our own equipment from France to Saudi Arabia by plane, to setting up on-site, via preparing the stage for our broadcaster Matt, and making all the necessary adjustments, our team delivered hard work every step of the way. This effort would not have been possible without the invaluable support of SAFCSP. The result was broadcast on a large screen at the FAI General Conference, allowing over a hundred delegates from various countries to follow the action and experience the thrill of the race firsthand.
